Conversation on Regional Economic Development

MARCH 2, 2015

From 8:00am to 9:30am

Universities at Shady Grove
Building II, First Floor Ballroom

Rockville, MD 20850

Committee for Montgomery invites you to join us on Monday, March 2nd at 8am, at The Universities at Shady Grove, Building II, First Floor Ballroom, for an hour-and-a-quarter conversation on regional economic development.

In addition to our regular business agenda, we will convene three experts:

  • Holly Sears Sullivan, President, Montgomery Business Development Corporation, which focuses on business advocacy, retention of existing companies and recruitment in Montgomery County,
  • Victor Hoskins, former economic development chief in both Washington, DC and Prince George's County, currently holding that position in Arlington County, and
  • Dr. Stephen Fuller, George Mason University and Center for Regional Analysis, pre-eminent scholar and authority on regional economic development data.

Join CfM's hour-and-a-quarter presentation/discussion of the regional data.  It's hard to plan where you want to go if you don't know where you are - and since Montgomery County does not exist in a vacuum, this regional perspective is key.

Given the policy discussions about economic development at the State and County levels, we believe this will be a very unique opportunity to hear from these very knowledgeable and highly respected experts in our region and an excellent opportunity to more deeply pursue an important component of economic development in the County.

Please invite members of your organization and/or constituents to be our guests at this event.  Feel free to widely circulate this invitation.  This is a conversation you will want to hear.
